Home Invasion, Stabbing

Bloomington, IL – On Saturday, April 15, 2017, at 10:15 a.m., Bloomington Police responded to the 500 block of Valley View Circle for a home invasion.

It was reported a domestic relationship was the cause for a male subject to break into an apartment. During the incident, a male occupant began to physically fight with the subject. The subject fled the scene prior to police arriving.

When officers arrived, they found a 28-year-old male with a stab wound to his hand. He was transported to a local hospital by Bloomington Fire Department rescue for non-life threatening injuries. An adult female on scene was not injured.

A short time later, officers were dispatched to a business parking lot in the 2200 block of West Market Street for a male who said he had been stabbed.

Officers arrived to find a 29-year-old male with multiple stab wounds to his torso. He was also transported to a local hospital by Bloomington Fire Department rescue for non-life threatening injuries. The male was identified as the subject involved in the earlier incident at Valley View Circle. 

Demarques R. Greene, age 29 of Oshkosh, WI, was arrested for Home Invasion/Cause Injury, Criminal Trespass to Residence/Person Present, and a Parole Violation Warrant out of Wisconsin.

Greene was transported to the McLean County Jail.

No other suspects are being sought at this time.
