One Person Shot Over Weekend
On Sunday, May 14, 2017, at approximately 2:06 a.m., Bloomington Police Officers were on patrol in the 600 block of North Main Street, when they heard a loud pop. Officers looked across the street and observed a large group of people dispersing in different directions.
Officers arrived on scene and did not locate any victims. While checking the immediate area, officers discovered evidence of a shooting on the sidewalk.
Shortly thereafter, officers were dispatched to Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, 1304 Franklin Ave., Normal, IL for a report of one person shot. Upon arrival, officers located a 34-year-old male with gunshot wounds to his legs. The victim's injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting and the investigation is ongoing.
