Jefferson Street Community House Grand Opening Event
The Bloomington Police Department in partnership with Mid Central Community Action and the West Bloomington Housing Collaborative is pleased to announce the grand opening event at the Jefferson Street Community House on Friday, June 16, 2017, at 4 pm.
This will be a family friendly event with games, youth activities, and food from 4pm-7pm.
The Jefferson Street Community House is located at 828 W. Jefferson Street, at the corner of Jefferson and Howard.
The house is one of the properties owned by Mid Central Community Action, Inc. It was purchased and rehabbed by MCCA as part of the Illinois Attorney General grant to the West Bloomington Housing Collaborative (WBHC). The WBHC is comprised of funded partners Mid Central Community Action, West Bloomington Revitalization Project, and Habitat for Humanity of McLean County. The University of Illinois Community Preservation Clinic, City of Bloomington, Illinois Wesleyan Action Research Center, State Farm Bank and Remax Rising are also members of the WBHC Partnership Council.
