Bank Robbery Arrest
On Tuesday, June 14, 2017, at approximately 11:25 a.m., Bloomington Police responded to a Robbery at PNC Bank, 2217 West Market Street. It was reported a male entered the bank, unarmed and demanded money from an employee. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the area on foot eastbound. No injuries were reported from the incident.
The suspect was described as a white male, around 35 years-of-age, approximately 5'8" in height, unknown pounds, wearing a blue polo shirt, and blue jeans.
Officers arrived in the area and were given additional information, to include a video still photo and a vehicle information. Officers had Dispatch give out the suspect and vehicle description to area police agencies.
Shortly thereafter, Illinois State Police spotted the suspect vehicle on I-74 near Leroy, Illinois and effected a traffic stop and placed the suspect into custody.
Zachary Finchum, age 31, of Fort Wayne, Indiana was arrested for Financial Institution Robbery in connection with this incident.
Finchum was transported to the McLean County Jail.
