Public Alert - Suspicious Subject
On Thursday, July 13, 2017, Bloomington Police Officers responded to a residence for a disorderly conduct report, which occurred earlier at a public swimming pool.
It was reported, while at O'Neil Park, in the 1500 block West Chestnut, at approximately 2:45 p.m., a male who identified himself as "Israel" told camp counselors he was with Child Protective Services and had orders to pick up a juvenile. The counselors did not allow the male to pick up the juvenile.
The subject was described as a black male, late 40's to early 50's in age, dark skin, 6 feet in height, medium build, wearing blue jeans, a blue striped polo shirt, black shoes, and had a Bluetooth device in his ear. The male had a strong accent, believed to be possibly of African descent.
No arrests have been made in connection with the suspicious subject and the investigation is ongoing.
