On Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at 11:05 p.m., Bloomington Police officers were dispatched to Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, 1304 Franklin Ave., Normal, IL. for a person claiming to have been stabbed.
It was reported earlier on the same date, the 26-year-old victim was walking in the 800 block of West Monroe, when he felt a sharp object strike his back. The suspect demanded the victim's wallet. The victim turned around and attempted to defend himself and was stabbed in the hand. The suspect then fled west on foot.
The victim sustained a single non-life-threatening injury to his hand.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6'4" in height, 180 pounds in weight, and with a long dark beard.
