Shots Fired Incidents

On Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Bloomington Police Officers responded to the 900 block of South Clayton for a report of shots fired.

Officers arrived in the area and observed a large group of males walking away. Officers were told by a witness that multiple gun shots were seen and heard from two separate groups. After the shooting, several subjects left in a silver colored sedan style vehicle.

While checking the immediate area, officers located evidence of a shooting.

No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

On Sunday, November 26, 2017, at approximately 4:33 a.m., Bloomington Police Officers responded to the 2200 block of Todd Drive for a report of shots fired.

Officers arrived in the area and a witness reported hearing several gun shots and seeing a male run away from the area.

While checking the immediate area, officers located a vehicle with a broken window. No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

On Monday, November 27, 2017, at approximately 1:37 a.m., Bloomington Police Officers responded to the 900 block of West Grove Street for a report of shots fired.

Officers arrived in the area and were told a suspect vehicle was parked in the 900 block of West Olive Street. Multiple occupants were seen around the vehicle, and shortly after multiple gun shots were then heard.

While checking the immediate area, officers located a parked, unoccupied vehicle matching the suspect vehicle, with a bullet hole in the trunk.

During a subsequent canvass of the area, Bloomington Police Crime Scene Detectives observed several rounds had entered a residence, and collected evidence at the scene.

An additional vehicle which had been parked in the area, was reported as damaged from gun fire as well. 

No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

The Bloomington Police Department is dedicating resources to the investigations to hold those endangering the safety of our community responsible. These three incidents are not known to be related at this time.
