Location Change for December 18 Meetings
Location Change Notification: December 18 Meetings
The City anticipates the “Welcoming City” topic will be discussed by the City Council at a Work Session on December 18. Based on the amount of public interest in the topic as demonstrated by attendance at the November 27 meeting and the capacity of the City Hall Council Chambers, the meeting will be held instead in the Auditorium of the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts, 600 N. East St. Due to timing, the subsequent City of Bloomington Township meeting at 6:30 pm and Council meeting at 7 pm will also be held at the BCPA. The meetings will not be livestreamed; however, the Council meetings will be recorded and posted on the City’s website, www.cityblm.org, at a later date.
The start time of the Work Session is still being determined. Auditorium doors are anticipated to open thirty minutes prior to the start time. Members of the public who wish to make public comment during the meeting’s thirty minute public comment period must complete a public comment card at least five minutes prior to the start of the meeting. The order of speakers is determined by random draw. In addition to public comment at the meeting, written public comments may be submitted for the official record by providing comments to the City Clerk at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting. Additionally, people with questions or comments for the City Council on this or another topic may contact them directly by utilizing the elected officials’ contact info on the City’s website, www.cityblm.org.
