Bloomington Hires Performing Arts Manager
James A. Mack to start Feb. 12
The City of Bloomington recently hired James A. Mack as Performing Arts Manager. He will manage the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts.
Mack most recently served as Managing Director/Facility Director for the Mesquite Arts Council in Mesquite, TX. Prior to that, he was Manager of Partnerships for the Balboa Park Cultural Partnership in San Diego, CA and has held other arts-related positions throughout his career. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Arizona and is anticipating a Masters of Non-Profit Administration from the University of Notre Dame, Mendoza College of Business later this year.
“We are excited to welcome Jim to the City of Bloomington as Performing Arts Manager,” says Jay Tetzloff, the City’s Director of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts/Miller Park Zoo. “His passion for the arts paired with a strong background in management and fundraising will benefit the BCPA greatly. With the kickoff of the BCPA’s 2018-2019 season just around the corner, now is the optimum time to have him join our team.”
Mack’s first day will be February 12.
