Jonny Lang Returns to BCPA

Post Date:04/12/2018 8:19 AM
The Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts (BCPA) will present artist Jonny Lang on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 7:30 p.m.

Jonny Lang will be the first artist of the new 2018-2019 BCPA Mainstage season. The remaining season will be announced in August.

Since the release of his debut album, Grammy Award winning Jonny Lang has built a reputation as one of the best live performers and guitarists of his generation. The path Lang has been on has brought him the opportunity to support or perform with some of the most respected legends in music. He has shared the stage with everyone from The Rolling Stones, B.B. King, Aerosmith and Buddy Guy, who he continues to tour with today.

Lang will be touring with his new studio album Signs which was released September 2017. Signs is not merely a return to the artist's guitar-based beginnings, but an embodiment of an even more elemental sound. Beyond focusing attention on his soloing prowess, it is about recapturing the spirit of the early blues, where the guitar was front and center, fairly leaping out of the speakers.

Tickets for Jonny Lang are $45, $35, $30 and $25 and go on sale Thursday, April 19, 2018. They can be purchased in person at the BCPA Ticket Office, online at www.artsblooming.org or by calling the BCPA Ticket Office at 309-434-2777; toll-free at 866-686-9541 during their regular business hours; 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
