Accepting Applications for Loan Program & FY19 Partner Projects
City Accepting Applications for Homeowner Rehabilitation Loan Program & FY19 Partner Projects
The City of Bloomington will be accepting applications for its Homeowner Rehabilitation Loan Program and FY19 Partner Projects beginning Monday, July 2, 2018. Applications for the Homeowner Rehabilitation Loan Program will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The City will utilize Community Development Block Grant funding from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development to assist approximately 25 low and moderate income households with minor to moderate home repairs. Assistance is provided in the form of a 0% interest deferred loan payable at the time that the homeowner is no longer the owner/occupant of the property.
The Partner Program provides funding for community partners engaging in public service, housing, public facility and infrastructure projects. Accepted projects will be funded for the fiscal year beginning May 1, 2019. The City will host an informational meeting for interested Partner Program applicants on Friday, July 20 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in the Hepperly Conference Room, Government Center, 115 E. Washington St., 2nd Floor, Bloomington. The meeting will provide an overview of the Community Development Block Grant and eligible programs and services it can fund. Attendance is not mandatory but strongly recommended for new applicants. The meeting is free, however, pre-registration is required. Contact Jennifer Toney at email@example.com or 309-434-2342 to reserve a spot.
Applications for both programs will be available on the City’s website and at the Community Development Department, Government Center, 115 E. Washington St., Bloomington, beginning June 18 and will be accepted July 2 through August 31.
