Bloomington 101 Accepting Fall Applications
The City of Bloomington is accepting applications for the fall 2018 session of Bloomington 101, a program aimed at giving community members an overview of their local government. The program covers topics ranging from Police and Fire to Finance to Parks and Recreation. The fall 2018 session meets Thursday evenings from September 6-November 8 from 6-8 pm.
Participation in Bloomington 101 is free and open to anyone 16 or older. However, the ten-week program is capped at 25 participants. To be considered, applicants must agree to attend at least eight of the ten classes.
“The Bloomington 101 program is a great way to learn about the City of Bloomington and engage with local government,” explains Nora Dukowitz, the City’s Communication Manager. “It covers a wide variety of topics and includes hands-on activities, facility tours and more. Participants learn a lot and have fun along the way.”
