Shots Fired

On Sunday, July 1, 2018, at approximately 5:55 p.m., Bloomington Police Officers responded to the 800 block of West Washington Street for a report of shots fired.

Officers arrived in the area and a witness reported hearing guns shots and seeing a black male, holding a handgun running west from the area.

An additional witness reported hearing several gun shots and seeing a black male enter a burgundy sedan and leave the area at a high rate of speed (unknown direction).

During a subsequent canvass of the area, no evidence of a shooting was discovered.

No injuries were reported at the scene and no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

The suspect was described as a black male, 15-16 years of age, with a mustache and long-braided hair.
