Arrests in Egerton Dover Homicide

Homicide arrests

Bloomington, IL - On Wednesday, December 5th, 2018, at approximately 4:41 a.m., the Bloomington Police Department responded to 816 West Jefferson to investigate a report of a person shot.  Officers arrived and located Egerton Dover deceased from multiple gunshot wounds.  An investigation was conducted by BPD’s Criminal Investigations Division in the following weeks that identified Anthony Grampsas, 18 years of age and Tyjuan Bruce, 20 years of age, both of Decatur, IL, as persons of interest.

On January 7th, 2019, arrest warrants were issued for Anthony Grampsas and Tyjuan Bruce for their responsibility in the murder of Egerton Dover.  Grampsas and Bruce were apprehended by United States Marshall Service on January 7th in Decatur, IL at 11:45 a.m. and ultimately remanded to the custody of the McLean County Jail. 

While arrests have been made, the Bloomington Police Department still considers this an ongoing investigation.  Therefore, additional information will not be disclosed at this time.
