Armed Robbery Arrest
Bloomington, IL - On Friday, February 22, 2019, the Bloomington Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division working with the McLean County States Attorney's Office, issued an arrest warrant for Toshiro Luttrell, 39, of Bloomington, IL, for the armed robbery of Check Into Cash, 2303 E. Washington St., that occurred on January 28, 2019.
The charges on the warrant are:
-Armed Robbery / Armed with a Firearm
Bond: $500,000 - 10% to apply.
Luttrell also has warrants listed for his robbery of the Freedom Oil Gas Station (601 S. Main Street) that happened on 01-17-19.
During our investigation of the Bloomington Check Into Cash armed robbery, BPD detectives were able to connect Luttrell to an additional armed robbery that took place February 5, 2019 in Springfield, IL., at the Check Into Cash store, 1754 Wabash Ave. in Springfield, IL.
On February 6, Luttrell was arrested by BPD. BPD detectives, BPD's Street Crimes Unit, and detectives from Springfield PD executed a search warrant on Luttrell's residence in the 900 block of W. Taylor Street, Bloomington. During the search, detectives located a stolen firearm in the residence. Luttrell was also charged on this date with possession of a stolen firearm.
Luttrell is currently in custody in the Sangamon County jail.
