Arrest Made in Death Investigation for Drug Induced Homicide
Bloomington, IL - Arrest made in Death Investigation - On Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at approximately 11:30am, the Bloomington Police Department arrested Christopher Barker, 35, of Bloomington, for an outstanding McLean County warrant for Drug Induced Homicide. The bond for the warrant is listed at $1,000,000, 10% to apply.
Barker's warrant and arrest is a result of a joint effort by the McLean County Coroner's Office, the McLean County State's Attorney's Office, and BPD.
McLean County Coroner Dr. Kathleen Yoder identified the deceased as George Darnell, 44, of Bloomington. The McLean County Coroner's Office determined that Darnell died as a result of a drug overdose. The death investigation began on 11-08-18, in the 600 block of South McClun Street.
