Dale Watson has positioned himself as a tattooed, stubbornly independent outsider only interested in recording authentic country music. As a result, his music has been championed by numerous critics and alternative country fans. An inductee in the Austin Music Hall of Fame, Watson was also the subject of a 2006 documentary, Crazy Again, directed by Zalman King.

Watson is joined by local rockabilly favorite The Hillbilly Jones.
