The Lettermen
with special opening act Classics IV
Friday, March 20, 7:30 pm
The letter sweaters may only make a brief appearance at each Lettermen performance but The Lettermen harmony is non-stop. One of the most popular vocal groups of the 1960s, their hit songs "Put Your Head On My Shoulder," "The Way You Look Tonight," "When I Fall in Love," "Going Out of My Head/Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" and "Hurt So Bad" are part of music history. Over the course of their storied career they have produced 32 consecutive albums which all hit the Top 100 in the United States and shared the stage with all of the big names of their era, including Frank Sinatra, Debbie Reynolds, Jimmy Durante, Sammy Davis, Jr. and Dean Martin.
The night will begin with a special performance by The Classics IV. Known best for their hits "Spooky," "Stormy," and "Traces," the band achieved great fame in the late '60s. Led by singer Dennis Yost led the band until an illness and accident led to his early death in 2008, the band is now fronted by Bloomington native Tom Garrett.
