The Portland Mercury calls Ian Moore, “One of the finest singer/songwriters around.” The St. Louis Post Dispatch calls his new CD, “To Be Loved,” “A progressive pop-rock tour de force that showcases Moore’s expressive vocals, enduring six-string abilities and razor-sharp songwriting skills. Moore has taken his artistry to a new level.”

The one-time Austin-based blues-rocker scored three radio hits in the ‘90s with “How Does It Feel,” “Nothing,” and “Muddy Jesus.” After opening for bands including ZZ Top and the Rolling Stones, Moore began looking beyond the blues-rock roots of his home state towards a more expansive sound. Hints of southern soul, gospel and Beatle-esque pop shook hands with the blues riffs that were once his trademark. Five CDs later and now based in Seattle, Moore has melded electric blues and atmospheric songwriting with excellent effect, building his fan base through play on college radio stations.
