To protect the health, safety and general welfare of the citizens of the community through professional administration and enforcement of the zoning, building and other related construction and use ordinances.

Building Safety is a division of the Planning and Code Enforcement Department (PACE), which also includes Community Development, Code Enforcement, Facilities Management, and Planning and Zoning.
