Description:
The City of Bloomington Illinois is currently seeking experienced Police Officer applicants. Bloomington is a growing community in Central Illinois 135 miles south of Chicago. Requirements include High School Diploma or its equivalent, State of Illinois approved basic Police Training Academy certification (or ability to transfer certification) minimum of 3 years, in the last 4 years as a full-time police officer with a state, county or municipal agency and currently in good standing with department is required.
Must pass fitness battery exam, background investigation, oral interview, polygraph and medical exam; Starting salary $49,031.58 annually, including holiday pay (3rd year base-$64,544.05 annually including holiday pay), plus excellent benefits.
