Youth After School Sport Coaches
Basketball
(several positions available, depending on enrollment)
Nature of Work:
Responsibility of this position is for planning, organizing, directing, and coaching children in 4th and 5th grades.
Examples of Work:
1. Develop daily program planning schedule.
2. Evaluate class size and make necessary adjustments.
3. Teach fundamental skills and implement those skills in organized games and drills.
4. Implement skills and fundamentals from practice to Saturday games or track meets.
Requirements:
1. CPR and first aid certification required.
2. Must have a thorough knowledge of basic skills for sport applying to coach and the ability to teach these to youth.
3. Must have demonstrated ability to communicate with youth and parents
4. Must be self-motivated, outgoing, and energetic.
5. Must have an ability to plan and evaluate daily goals.
6. Must be able to provide own transportation between program sites.
7. Must be able to keep accurate records and documentations.
8. Must attend pre-program meeting the week before program begins.
Salary: $9.00 per hour starting pay
Dates: Basketball Jan. 18 – Mar. 6
