Wayfinding Signs

The City of Bloomington is in the process of establishing wayfinding signs for Downtown Bloomington. In the Fall of 2017, the Downtown Signage Committee opened a poll for the public to vote on three designs. Each concept included directional signage, informational kiosks, and an archway for the north end of the downtown. Click the photo below for a closer look at the design that was chosen. The signs will provide a gateway into Downtown and will help visitors find key attractions, parking and other resources. Stay tuned for the installation of these beautiful signs!

Front Street Redevelopment

On June 19, 2018 the Bloomington Public Works Department hosted an open house and information session about improvements to Front Street between East Street and Madison Street. The project involves removing two traffic lights, adding landscaping and pedestrian islands, and extending the curbs. The improvements, if approved, could occur at the end of 2018.
