Located on the historic downtown square, the Downtown Bloomington Association’s Farmers’ Market gives customers a colorful venue to buy locally grown farm products, and also puts them in touch with local artisans of prepared goods and fine arts, musicians, and community organizations. The Downtown Bloomington Association Farmers’ Market is a producer-only market offering a wide array of farm products — including vegetables, fruits, cheeses, pork, beef, free-range poultry and eggs, flowers, plants, herbs, and more grown and produced by the individual selling these items!
The market features different musical performances each week. Cooking demos are offered regularly, and the Kids’ Zone has sponsors that offer weekly hands-on activities for all ages. We are supported by a core group of volunteers that devote their time and energies for their love of the Market. The market is always looking for new volunteers! Visit the Downtown Bloomington association website to sign up!
Our Indoor Markets occur on the third Saturday of December from 10 am – 12 pm and continues on each third Saturday of the month through April at the Grossinger Motors Arena. Live entertainment and local goods.
Our Thanksgiving Farmers’ Market occurs at the Grossinger Motors Arena, 101 S. Madison St. on the Saturday before Thanksgiving each year from 10 am – 12 pm.
Tokens can be purchased at the Information booth, and will be redeemed same as cash at each vendor booth. The DBA Farmers’ Market was one of the first markets in Illinois to become part of the food justice movement. With support from The Experimental Station, we are proud to accept LINK cards, making locally grown, healthy foods available to all members of our community.
