History
The Citizens Beautification Committee was created by ordinance on April 23, 1973 (and amended on October 23, 1984), which indicated “it is in the best interest of all citizens of Bloomington to enhance the appearance of the City.” The Citizens Beautification Committee was formed “as a reasonable means by which aesthetic improvements to the City may be facilitated.”
