PUBLIC NOTICE: Substantial Amendment
The City of Bloomington, Community Development Division is a requesting a change in the use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. We are proposing a change in the funding of an activity greater than or equal to $50,000 in the 2009-2010 Action Plan. The following change is being proposed:
 
(1)  Community Development originally budgeted $150,000 for the reconstruction of sidewalks in the 900 Block of West Mulberry and Grove Street (Mason to Allin).
 
(2) The proposed sidewalk reconstruction project will remain; however it will be paid from CDBG-R (Community Development Block Grant – Recovery) funds.
 
(3) The $150,000 of CDBG funds will be reassigned to housing rehabilitation, demolition, or public services as needed.
 
A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at 4:00 p.m., in the Hepperly Conference room, on the 2nd floor of the Government Center at 115 East Washington Street, Bloomington.
 
Public Comments will be accepted beginning Tuesday, September 29, 2009 and ending on Friday October 30, 2009 at 5:00 pm.

Participation of all residents, including non-English speaking and physical, visual or hearing impaired individuals are encouraged to respond.
