ZOO EDUCATION PROGAMS
Miller Park Zoo offers a variety of fun & educational classes for children.
Registration is required for all classes.

All program registration is handled through the Bloomington
Parks & Recreation Department at http://recweb.cityblm.org.
Registration for summer programs begins on May 1.

ANIMAL CRACKERS...for 3 - 5-year-olds + a grown-up
Animal Crackers is a class for children & a parent. Each hour-long class includes a story, a craft, an animal encounter, and a snack. A different class topic is offered each month. A parent or other adult must attend with Animal Crackers kids, but other older or younger children are NOT permitted to attend. Proof of age will be required for 3-year-olds new to the program. Registration fee includes Zoo admission for class participants on the day of the class.
Classes are offered on June 16, 17, & 18; July 14, 15, & 16; August 11, 12, & 13.
Cost is $9 per child per session for Family Zoological Society members and $14 for non-members.

ZOOKIDS...for 6-year-olds through kids entering 2nd grade
An “advanced” version of Animal Crackers, ZooKids classes are 2-hour adventures. As in Animal Crackers, they include stories, crafts, animal contact, and snacks, but they do NOT include parents!!! Registration fee includes Zoo admission for class participants on the day of the class.
Classes are offered on June 16, 17, & 18; July 14, 15, & 16; August 11, 12, & 13.
Cost is $12 per child per session for Family Zoological Society members and $15 for non-members.

ZOO SAFARI CAMP...for kids entering 3rd through 6th grade
Crafts, games, animal contact, and unique peeks behind the scenes will highlight this five-day camp. Sessions are Monday through Friday, either morning or afternoon, and will be held during the following weeks: June 22-26, June 29-July 3, July 6-10, July 20-24, & July 27-31.
Cost is $70 per child for Family Zoo Society members and $80 per child for non-members.

DO YOU BELONG IN THE ZOO?...for students ages 10-16
What people belong at the Zoo? Zookeepers, veterinarians, educators, carpenters, horticulturists...you? We’ll look at a variety of jobs at zoos, meet the people who do those jobs, explore behind the scenes, & try out some of these exciting occupations. Please bring a sack lunch. This class is offered on June 11.
Cost is $33 per child per session for Family Zoological Society members and $37 for non-members.
