The City of Bloomington's Engineering Department has compiled the following technical drawings which depict acceptable Engineering practices for common erosion and sediment control items.  This is not meant to be an all inclusive list of erosion and sediment control items as there are numerous products available.

• Perimeter Barrier - Silt Fence Detail : this depicts the installation criteria for silt fence without wire support.
  
  
• Perimeter Barrier - Silt Fence Detail : this depicts the correct method for joining one section of silt fence with another section.  For Example :This may be used as a means of repairing damaged silt fencing or when joining the remains of one length of silt fencing material to the start of another length of silt fencing material.
  
  
• Perimeter Barrier - Silt Fence with Wire Support Detail : this depicts the installation criteria for silt fence WITH wire support.

• Inlet Protection Detail - Gravel and Wire Mesh : this depicts the proper installation of gravel and wire mesh when used to protect an inlet from jobsite erosion.

• Silt Fence Ditch Check : this depicts the proper installation of silt fencing when used to minimize the effects of erosion on drainage ways within a jobsite.
  
  
• Stabilized Construction Entrance Detail : this depicts the proper installation of the stabilized construction entrance.  It is meant to be used in conjunction with technical drawing 1307k2.pdf.
