Judith I. Stearns
Judy Stearns is a fourth generation Bloomington native who grew up in the Franklin Park area. She attended the former Franklin School, and Illinois Wesleyan University. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and graduated with High Honors from Illinois State University, and graduated from Mennonite Hospital School of Nursing, where she was presented the Faculty Award for Academic Achievement. She was awarded an American Legion 40 et 8 nursing scholarship.
Judy is President and founder of Cultural District Neighborhood Association, editor of its newsletter, and a founding member of CARE neighborhood network. She is a board member of McLean County Apartment Association and the Old House Society. She created and wrote the historic tour for the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts and is the volunteer Tour Director. Judy is a Bloomington history and architecture fan, and has created various tours of historic areas.
Judy was employed for 20 years as an Emergency Department nurse, a Trauma Nurse Specialist and Mobile Intensive Care Unit Nurse, and has flight nursing experience. Currently, she owns and manages Endeavor Properties, restoring and renting vintage properties.
Her husband Randy is a packaging specialist who travels extensively. Nephew Nicholas, who is like a son and his 2 children, Nicholas and Natalie, reside in Indianapolis.
