School Programs & Group Reservations

Group Reservations
If your organization has twenty or more people and would like to make Zoo reservations at a discounted admission rate, please contact Jennifer at jrogers@cityblm.org or (309) 434-2826. Reservations must be made at least two weeks before your visit. 

The group rate is $3 per person.  Groups may also purchase discounted tickets in bulk. The minimum order is 30 tickets.

Note: Additional restrictions apply to group visits in May since this is our busy school field trip season.

Classroom Programs at the Zoo

Preschool - Kindergarten
Spend 30 minutes in our classroom with an instructor and up-close animal encounters ~ several topics are available including animal groups, senses, animal coverings, and more ~ then venture out into the Zoo for a visit at your own pace.  Classroom Programs are only available until mid April.

1st Grade - 12th Grade
Take a two-hour journey to the Zoo and explore a topic in-depth ~ animal classification, habitats, rainforests, endangered species, and more. These programs involve some classroom time and a scavenger hunt out in the Zoo ~ lots of fun!  Classroom Programs are only available until mid April.

Guided Tours
These 90-minute Zoo visits take your class all around the Zoo with one of our volunteer tour guides.  Grades K-12; available daily through April 17; Mondays and Wednesdays only from April 20 - May 29.

Zoo to You
Let us bring our animals to YOUR classroom!  Presentations are available on a variety of topics and last 30-45 minutes.  Maximum group size is 50 students.  Available until mid April for McLean County and those counties adjacent to McLean County.

Carousel Rides
Carousel animals are waiting to give you a ride! Discounted tickets are available to school groups who prepay for their tickets.
