Freestyle Practice Ice
Freestyle practice ice is special practice time set aside for figure skaters only. These sessions, sold in ½-hour increments, limit the number of skaters, allowing skaters to effectively practice skills and programs required of the sport. Skaters can purchase one or several consecutive ½-hour sessions. Early morning, afternoon, and weekend times are available. Monthly schedules are available on the Pepsi Ice Center website and also available in the rink at the Guest Services counter. Skaters and coaches must sign in for attendance and waiver. All freestyle rules and procedures (displayed at sign-in) apply.
Sessions can be purchased on an individual time slot basis or in a block of time. There are discounted fees for buying time in bulk. Sessions are $4.50 per 1/2-hour or 20 sessions can be purchased on a punch card for $80. Fees for coaches are $4.00 per DAY or 20 days can be purchased on a punch card for $70. Payment of ice time or use of a punch card is required before taking the ice. NO EXCEPTIONS! Payment or use of punch card by skaters and coaches signifies agreement to all rules and procedures of Freestyle Session Skating at the Pepsi Ice Center.
Coaches must furnish Pepsi Ice Center with a certificate of liability insurance prior to attending a freestyle session. Coaches who will be using the jump harness must, in addition to furnishing a certificate of liability insurance, must complete the in-house jump harness training course.
