Music Programs
Concert Series
The Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department conducts four concert series each summer. All concerts are free. Click here for the summer concert schedule.

Franklin Park Concerts
Conductor Michael Wallace and the Community Concert Band perform a wide variety of music including marches, overtures, show tunes, dance music, and traditional selections. Concerts are held on Thursdays from 7:00 – 8:00 pm in Franklin Park. They usually start the 3rd week in June and go through July.
Lunchtime Concerts
Bloomington Parks & Recreation has a long tradition of quality musical entertainment during the lunch hour in downtown Bloomington. Different groups play each Wednesday from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm on the mobile stage which is placed on the north side of the McLean County Museum of History in downtown Bloomington. Concerts start the third week in May and run through the second week of August.
McGraw Park Concerts
Individuals can enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the park and listen to great summer sounds. Concerts are on Sunday evenings from 6:30 – 7:45 pm on one Sunday in June and one in July.
Music Under the Stars
Great music combined with warm summer nights offer a perfect evening to be out under the stars with family and friends. The concerts start each Tuesday evening at 7:30 pm at the Miller Park Bandstand.

Let’s Make Music
Let's Make Music is a parent/child program involving songs, instruments, movements, musical stories, and more. This is a great introduction to music, using developmentally based activities.
Beginner Guitar
Beginner guitar lessons offer students the chance to learn how to pick and strum the chords needed to play for years to come.
