CONSTITUTION TRAIL REFORESTATION PROJECT
Ash trees have been removed and will be replaced along Constitution Trail in early 2012. Ash removals began on west section of Constitution Trail at Washington Street and the I-55/I-74 overpass through Bloomington’s sections of Constitution Trail. Planting will begin in the spring.
A total of 96 Ash trees will be replaced to prevent spread of the Emerald Ash Borer. The project is funded by a grant from the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus.
MILLER PARK PLAYGROUND CLOSED FOR REPAIRS
Due to safety concerns identified by the manufacturer of the soft tile playground safety surface, the Miller Park Playground will be closed pending a thorough review and the following repairs to the surface.
Many other parks with playgrounds within Bloomington will also remain open. Please click on the Interactive Map link under the Quicklinks section on the right hand side of this page for locations of additional playgrounds.
