In an effort to give local citizens more insight into the actions of its police force – and to help answer questions about police activities observed by residents throughout the community -- the Bloomington Police Department has created this report of daily activities.  Each day, a report will be posted for the previous 24-hour period (midnight to midnight).  Reports for Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays will be posted online the following Monday.

The report does not contain a list of all activities of the department.  The items posted are those that resulted in a written report, an accident report, an arrest -- or a combination of those dispositions. Names will not be included, and exact addresses of events will not be listed.

You may also subscribe to either the entire daily activity site, a category, or an individual post via RSS. You must have an RSS feed reader installed to use this feature. The latest versions of most popular internet browsers have this feature included, or you can download any number of different free readers. Just click on the RSS logo to subscribe to the area you are currently viewing.

Searching:
By using the search box on the right hand side of the screen, you can search the activities that have been posted.  A calendar tool is also available to view the activity on specific days, just click on the day you wish to view.  If there is no activity posted on that day, the link will not be active.
