These maps are intended to show the relative locations of reports taken by the Bloomington Police Department every two weeks. The following offenses, called Part 1 Index Crimes, and drug offenses will be mapped:

The offenses are grouped by Uniform Crime Reporting categories. They do not reflect the number of incidents reported, as multiple offenses may occur in a single incident. Neither do they reflect results of investigations connected with listed offenses.

Each report will have two different views of the same data for the given two week timeframe. One page will show the data on top of the ward map, the other page will show the data on top of the patrol areas.

• Criminal Sexual Assaults will not be mapped out of respect for victim confidentiality.
• Please note that not all offenses can be mapped for various reasons.
• Maps will be lagged by 1 month. For example, data from December 1 to 15, 2007 will be posted around January 15, 2008.
