On Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at approximately 11:28 a.m., Bloomington Police and Bloomington Fire Rescue responded to the area of Morrissey Drive and Chrisman Lane for a vehicle accident.
Officers arrived on scene with rescue and located two occupants in a vehicle with serious injuries. Witnesses reported seeing a vehicle leave the scene, traveling north on Route 150.
Representatives from the McLean County Coroner's office responded to the scene and one of the occupants was pronounced deceased at 12:43 p.m. The name of the decedent is being withheld at this time pending further notification of family. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday, September 14, 2017.
A male victim was transported by Bloomington Fire Rescue to St. Joseph Hospital for treatment.
