Armed Robbery Arrest - 600 block of South Main Street

Armed Robbery Arrest


Bloomington, IL - On Friday, 03-29-19, at approximately 11:40 a.m., Bloomington Police officers responded to the 600 block of South Main Street for an armed robbery. The two victims, a 20 year old man and a 17 year old woman, were robbed by two suspects. The suspects fled on foot.

Officers were able to track the suspects to a residence in the 200 block of East Wood Street. Ultimately, the suspects exited the residence voluntarily. BPD officers, detectives, and the Street Crimes Unit took them into custody without incident. No one was injured during the incident.

Gemonte Lyons, 20, of Bloomington, was arrested for armed robbery, aggravated battery, and mob action. A 16 year old juvenile male was arrested for armed robbery and mob action.
