Arrests made in Recent Armed Robbery Cases


Bloomington, IL - On Friday, May 17th, 2019, during the early morning hours, the Bloomington Police Department executed two search warrants at residential locations in Normal and Bloomington, in reference to a series of recent robbery cases. Taken into custody during the execution of the search warrants were:


-Terrell Blackshear, 28, of Bloomington

-Larry Nelson, 31, of Normal


During the execution of the search warrant, evidence was located linking the men to the series of robberies committed over the past few weeks in Bloomington. Both men are charged with committing robberies at:


-Casey's General Store, 3007 Gill St, 05-08-19 at 11:50 p.m.

-Six Points Food and Liquor, 1001 Six Points Rd, 04-29-19 at 1:50 p.m.

-Subway, 2310 E. Oakland Ave, 04-18-19 at 0830 a.m.


Bond information is not available at this time. Armed robbery is considered a Class X Felony, which is punishable by 6 years to 30 years in prison.
