Registration is now open for several dynamic new theater programs offered by the BCPA’s Creative Circle and partners Nitsch Theatre Arts.

“The mission of both the BCPA Creative Circle and Nitsch Theatre Arts is providing performance and technical theatre opportunities for adults, youth, and those persons with special needs,” said Assistant Performing Arts Manager, Ann-Marie Dittmann, adding, “providing emerging playwrights a platform for new works, providing arts travel opportunities, providing arts education in schools and communities at low or no cost to participants or attendees, and to partner with other organizations in order to create arts programs and events that have a positive impact on the community as a whole.”

All classes are held at the BCPA Creativity Center at 107 E. Chestnut St., directly behind the BCPA. Interested participants can register now at NitschTheatreArts.org.

NTA’s Stage Kids offers musical theatre performance opportunities for students in their communities. The Stage Kids philosophy is “learning by doing” so acting, movement, and vocal fundamentals are taught through the production process. Students participate in a 12-week workshop that results in a musical production celebrating their efforts.  Please note: the performances will take place on Sat, Jan 4 at 6:00 PM and Sunday, January 5 at 2:30 PM. There will be pickup rehearsals scheduled during the winter break prior to the performance, to be determined.

BROADWAY DANCE:

Ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, and other Broadway styles are all touched upon in the musical theatre preparation dance class. Learn fundamentals and how to “wow” the directors at auditions while having fun trying different dance styles.

RISING STARS COMMUNITY GROUP

August 28- November 20 (No Class on Oct 23)

NTA’s Rising Stars is a group of talented young people who give back to the
community through song and dance performance. It offers participants a wide
variety of opportunities to continually work on their performance skills and
represent their schools and communities with pride. Members are required to attend regular weekly rehearsal class, practice on their own time, and have
fun while doing so.

Age: 5-17 from 4:30 - 5:00 PM - Cost $80

STAGE TOTS CREATIVE DANCE, MUSIC & DRAMA

the “fun”-dementals of dance (ballet, jazz, and tap), vocal singing, and acting through sill warm-ups, games and play. Plus students will have the opportunity to perform onstage at the end of the program at an area event.
