4/23 Bulk & Brush Schedule Update

Post Date:04/23/2020 10:02 AM

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Bloomington has implemented new policies to protect families and preserve the workforce. With those changes, the City has reduced the number of crews collecting brush and bulk to a single crew. This has resulted  in brush and bulk pickup running behind the normal schedule. However, the City has recently added a knuckle boom truck into operation to aid in brush collection. Weekly updates will be posted to keep citizens up-to-date on the status of brush and bulk collection.

The following areas are projected to have brush and bulk collection from April 23 through May 1. However, as these routes are more dense than other areas, it make take additional time to complete them.

 Unshaded Friday Route, Including:

  • Pinebach Subdivision and Ebach Subdivision
  • Dawes Place Subdivision
  • Fleetwood Subdivision and Fairway Subdivision
  • Sunset Subdivision and Indian Hills Subdivision
  • Area between Linden Street/State Street and East Empire Street/Emerson Street
  • Section behind YWCA and Holiday Knolls Subdivision

To view a map of brush and bulk collection areas, choose one of the following:

Solid Waste Program users may also take bulk and brush to the citizen Convenience Center, which is located at 402 S. East Street in Bloomington (south of the Bloomington Public Library) and is open from 7 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays and from 11 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. on Wednesdays. The facility is closed on Sundays, Mondays, and municipal holidays.
