Bloomington Bulk and Brush Collection Back on Track

Post Date:06/04/2020 12:38 PM

Regular bulk and brush collection are back to their normal schedules in the City of Bloomington. Collection was delayed as a result of staff changes to protect the City’s workforce during the COVID-19 pandemic and an increase in bulk and brush at the curb.

The City will no longer post weekly updates about regular collection, as regular bulk and brush collection will now follow the normal schedule. Solid Waste Program users may view bulk and brush collection schedules by viewing the PDF map and calendar or by using RecycleCoach, which is also available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

The delayed Free Spring Bulk Waste Collection was rescheduled earlier this year to the Free Summer Bulk Waste Collection, anticipated to start July 6. More specific schedule information for that special collection will be forthcoming next week.

Users should have all waste on the curb by 6 a.m. on their collection day for garbage and recycling and on the scheduled day indicated by these updates for bulk and brush. Users may also take bulk and brush to the citizen Convenience Center, which is located at 402 S. East Street in Bloomington (south of the Bloomington Public Library) and is open from 7 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays and from 11 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. on Wednesdays. The facility is closed on Sundays, Mondays, and municipal holidays.
